Rihanna was queen of the night at the 2012 Robin Hood Benefit in New York last night. Following Lady Gaga last year, the Bajan goddess ruled the stage as she performed her dance single “Where Have You Been,” while channeling Cleopatra in a sexy gold outfit with snake-inspired accessories. Her dancers donned elaborate costumes to match the Egyptian theme.
The Roots were also on the bill and rock legend Neil Young made a surprise appearance. The performers donated their time for free, with $57 million raised to fight poverty in New York City.

Rihanna transforms her look once again in the video for Coldplay’s “Princess of Rihanna.” Dressed as a “gangsta goth geisha,” the pop star joined frontman Chris Martin and the band on set at the Taiko Center in Los Angeles in March.
“The final concept now, is like, a movie trailer to an old Kung-fu film,” explained RiRi of the special effects clip. “How awesome is that, right? I get to play a bad samurai bitch. I get to play a cute little geisha bitch.”
Rihanna took a break from her busy schedule and dedicated her Sunday to the most important woman in her life—her mother, Monica Fenty. After attending the premiere of Battleship in L.A. last week, RiRi flew her mom to New York by private jet. The ladies got dolled up and dined at RiRi’s favorite restaurant, Da Silvano, on Mother’s Day.

Rihanna was white-hot at the Los Angeles premiere of Universal Pictures’ Battleship at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Thursday. The pop goddess, who’s been under the weather lately, looked sexy and elegant in an Adam Selman dress with a plunging neckline and Manolo Blahnik heels. She showed up fashionably late with her family and posed on the blue carpet with her castmates including Brooklyn Decker and Alexander Skarsgard.
RiRi plays Navy weapons officer Raikes in the Peter Berg-directed film. “She’s a fighter, she’s a killer,” said the 24-year-old of her tough character. “I’m one of the boys. We do everything together. We go on all our missions together.”
The action-packed blockbuster, which has already amassed $200 million overseas, sails into U.S. theaters on May 18.
“The Meek shall inherit the Earth,” raps Meek Mill on “Ready or Not” off his new mixtape Dreamchasers 2. And he plans to do just that. As a member of Rick Ross’ Untouchable Maybach Music Empire, the 25-year-old phenom has the streets and the Internet on lock (his mixtape has reportedly been downloaded 2.5 million times).
Fresh off the first two dates of the “Club Paradise” tour with Drake, the Philly rapper sat down with Rap-Up TV to discuss his upcoming MMG debut Dreams & Nightmares. Due August 28, the album is set to feature production from Jahlil Beats, Cardiak, and Boi-1da, among others.
“I’ma give you the nightmare side, coming up in the streets and actually being in jail…to the dream side of being on tour with Drake and 2 Chainz and Waka Flocka and traveling the world,” said Meek, who views Rozay as a father figure.
“I look at Ross like my old head. My dad died when I was young. I never really had an older person in my life that really looked out for me. [Ross] helped change my life—took my music to another level, so it took my money and my family to another level.”
Just last week, Maybach Music welcomed Omarion into the family. “That’s the decision Ross made and we gon’ rock with it 100 percent,” said Meek, who has recorded a song with the former B2K member.
And with the fame comes the rumors. He and Rihanna were recently spotted at the same strip club, prompting speculation that they are dating. But Meek, who has a girl back home, set the record straight.
“I ain’t really be tryna go there with my girlfriend over blogs. That shit fu**ing up my life a little bit,” he said. “[Rihanna] might have been at the same place as me, but that don’t mean we was together. She a cool person, I met her before, she like my music, and that’s that.”
Rihanna serves up more eye candy with her racy shoot for famed photographer Terry Richardson. The former blonde shows off her long legs in denim shorts, a white top, and heels, holding her crotch and flipping the bird in the black-and-white images. Live from New York, it’s Rihanna! The pop superstar returned as the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend with host Eli Manning. Dressed in black with a giant spiderweb behind her, she weaved together a medley of “Birthday Cake” and “Talk That Talk” before transforming her look and the stage for her latest dance single “Where Have You Been.” She brought the Middle East to 30 Rock with her Arabian Nights-themed set, which featured some fancy footwork and elaborate costumes.
