Slim Shady returns on the quirky “Richard,” a cut off Obie Trice’s upcoming album Bottoms Up. “Just call me Richard ’cause I’m a dick,” sings Em, who delivers rapid R-rated rhymes on the Statik Selektah production. Obie’s 16-track album, his first since leaving Shady Records in 2008, will be released April 3 on his independent label, Black Market Entertainment.

Slaughterhouse Announces New Album, Tour

Some Shady characters are plotting their assault on hip-hop this spring. Rap outfit Slaughterhouse is readying its Shady Records/Interscope debut welcome to: OUR HOUSE. Executive produced by Eminem, the second album from Crooked I, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, and Royce da 5’9” will arrive on May 15. Fans will get a first listen to the group’s new material next week.

Additionally, Slaughterhouse is rolling out a U.S. tour. The 43-date trek kicks off March 8 in Dallas, passing through Miami, Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles, before winding down in Boston on May 3.

Bad really met evil when Tyler, the Creator ran into Eminem. The rappers, both no strangers to controversy, recently posed backstage at the Tennent’s ViTal music festival in Ireland. It was a dream come true for the Odd Future frontman, who grew up idolizing Slim Shady.

“Fuckkkkk O My Atheist God,” tweeted Tyler, winner of the Moonman for Best New Artist at the 2011 VMAs. “Goal List Check: I Told Him Relapse Was One Of The Greatest Albums To Me.”

Em returned the love when he co-signed Tyler and his OFWGKTA crew. “I’ve heard enough to know that it feels like they’re pushing boundaries and buttons, and that’s definitely one of the things that I’m familiar with, especially when I first came out,” he told MTV News. “I love it, I love the fact that they’re doing that. And the dudes can rhyme.”

The Rich Lee-directed clip shows footage of the Detroit MCs before they made it big, a blonde Em sitting on his couch trying to write rhymes and Royce rapping behind bars. They both escape their old lives and triumphantly emerge on the other side. Co-star Bruno plays the piano to the empowering tune as the sky lights up with lanterns.
